What building materials are included in the cost calculator?

The calculator includes all major building materials: cement, building blocks, sand, gravel, steel reinforcement bars (rebar), roofing sheets, tiles, paint, electrical wiring, plumbing fixtures, doors, windows, and more. Prices are updated regularly based on current Ghana market rates.

Yes. CornerStore, Ghana House Planner's material and supplier marketplace, holds a buyer's payment in escrow once paid and does not release it to the supplier until the buyer confirms delivery. If something goes wrong, buyers can open a dispute before confirming delivery, which freezes the payout while CornerStore reviews it and can issue a partial or full refund. This buyer protection is built into every marketplace order, not an optional add-on.

Can I see supplier or vendor ratings and reviews before ordering materials?

Yes. After a completed order, buyers can leave a star rating and written review for the supplier, covering communication, delivery, quality, and value. How We Got There

ARCE is Africa's real estate conference, now in its sixth year, organised with the Ghana Real Estate Professionals Association (GREPA). It brings together developers, investors, policymakers, financial institutions and technology companies from across the continent, under three pillars: Policy, PropTech and Sustainability.

▸Invited. GREPA and the ARCE organising committee identified GhanaHousePlanner among Ghana's emerging PropTech and built-environment companies, for its work on AI house planning, construction cost estimation, project management, materials sourcing and digital construction supervision.

▸Selected for the Startup Cohort. In August, GhanaHousePlanner was selected for the ARCE 2026 PropTech Startup Cohort and Startup Pavilion.

▸Selected to pitch live. GhanaHousePlanner was one of three startups to present live on Day 2, with five minutes to pitch followed by questions from an eight-member judging panel.
